Take a Dream Ride! 

Rancho Cordova is a city built on a million dreams, and nothing illustrates that the “sky is the limit” better than climbing aboard a hot air balloon to float toward the clouds! 

Give it a try when Sky Drifters brings a pair of colorful and stunning balloons for tethered rides over Hagan Park from 4-8 p.m. (or as weather permits) at the Rancho Cordova Fourth of July. The rides are FREE of charge in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the City of Rancho Cordova.   

As part of the Million Dreams experience, you will climb into the balloon basket and feel the freedom of flight as your experienced balloon pilot takes you aloft. You will be required to sign a liability waiver (minors must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver) and children who need to be held in arms will not be allowed to ride. Sorry! 

While aloft, take in the sights and reflect upon the kinds of dreams it takes to build a city like Rancho Cordova. And when you reach earth once more, we have just one request: Keep dreaming, Rancho Cordova!

Up, up and away:

• Rides begin at 4 p.m. or when weather conditions are right 
• Sky Drifters pilots may have to suspend rides if weather conditions are not optimum 
• Rides are free of charge in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Rancho Cordova 
• Limit one ride per person 
• Two balloons are available, so pick your favorite!  Consult event map for locations 
• All riders must sign a liability waiver prior to take-off. Youth under age 18 must have a waiver signed by parent or guardian 
• Children must be tall enough to stand on their own in the balloon. Sorry, adults will not be permitted to hold children in their arms
